The Young FICCI Ladies Organisation (YFLO), Hyderabad Chapter, held an engaging and thought-provoking session with acclaimed actor, speaker, and storyteller Boman Irani on Friday evening. The event drew a packed audience of entrepreneurs, professionals, and creatives eager to gain insights from the multi-talented star celebrated for his dynamic journey and deep intellect.

Welcoming the gathering, Pallavi Jain, Chairperson of YFLO Hyderabad, emphasized the organization’s mission of fostering lifelong learning and personal growth.

“In an ever-evolving world, access to knowledge and the wisdom to apply it remain the most powerful tools we possess. At YFLO, we are committed to cultivating a culture where curiosity is encouraged and learning becomes a way of life,” she remarked.

She described Boman Irani as the embodiment of continuous learning and meaningful communication—an individual whose inspiring transition from business to cinema is marked by adaptability, resilience, and a profound connection with the human experience.

Speaking on the theme “Knowledge – The Compass for Life’s Journey,” Boman Irani captivated the audience with heartfelt stories, humor, and humility. He shared his early struggles with dyslexia and a speech impediment, reflecting on the pivotal role his mother played in helping him discover his passion for the stage.

“I wasn’t the brightest child. I had a lisp, a speech defect, and was extremely shy,” he said. “But my mother helped me find my joy. I loved performing—I loved being heard.”

Irani recounted overcoming challenges with fierce determination, from using singing to correct his speech to practicing elocution with pebbles in his mouth. He made his film debut at the age of 41, underscoring that it’s never too late to pursue one’s passion.

“I’m not a prodigy. Whatever wisdom I have has come through acting. Every person has their own unique path—what matters is staying true to it.”

He urged parents, especially mothers, to recognize the individuality of their children and avoid comparisons with conventional icons of success.

The actor also reflected on his iconic role in Munna Bhai MBBS, admitting he initially disliked the film’s title—only to realize it would become a defining moment in his career.

From beloved roles in 3 Idiots, Don, and Made in Heaven, Boman Irani continues to be an enduring force in Indian cinema—admired not only for his performances but for his authenticity and commitment to excellence.

“I give 100% to every role. I push myself creatively and never stop learning—that’s been my guiding principle,” he concluded.

The evening served as a powerful reminder of the importance of resilience, self-belief, and lifelong growth, leaving attendees deeply inspired.
