DEJAVEDA, in collaboration with EduDrone - WE CONNECT, successfully hosted the Veda School Principal Summit 2024 at the Royal Orchid, Central Pune, Kalyani Nagar. The summit focused on the pivotal role of value-based education in schools, with the keynote address delivered by Dr. Shubha Vilas, founder of DEJAVEDA and a renowned spiritual leader from ISKCON.
The event commenced with a warm welcome for Dr. Vilas, introduced by Dr. Kajal Chhatija, founder of EduDrone - WE CONNECT, who shared an inspiring story about the profound significance of having a spiritual guide in life. Dr. Chhatija emphasized that everyone will experience a moment in their lives where they will be fortunate enough to find such guidance. Attendees were presented with a grand display of books, including the Amazon bestseller Open-Eyed Meditation, which was gifted to all participants.
The summit featured a series of EduTalk sessions delivered by distinguished speakers such as Ms. Nivedida Madkikar, Ms. Rajas Sardesai Bhosale, Ms. Ila Rathore, Ms. J. Simoes, and Dr. Kavita Roy. These sessions explored the multifaceted nature of value education, touching on topics such as emotional intelligence, the role of spiritual values, the importance of social skills, and the critical influence teachers have in imparting these lessons.
One of the summit's key highlights was Dr. Shubha Vilas' Masterclass, where he explored the deep connections between the mind, body, and soul—referred to as Monoranjan (mind), Deharanjan (body), and Atmaranjan (soul). He further discussed the four levels of motivation—fear, reward, duty, and love—and how school curricula can be designed to incorporate these concepts across different grades.
The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony for all participants and a group photo. The summit left attendees with a renewed perspective on the importance of value-based education, equipping them with actionable insights to foster holistic learning in their schools.
