"TiE Hyderabad's 7th Grad Business Idea Tournament: Heamac Healthcare Emerges as Winner

TiE Hyderabad successfully hosted the 7th edition of the TiE Grad Business Idea Tournament, which took place at Club Botanica in Kondapur, Hyderabad. The event saw 10 shortlisted teams compete in the finals, out of the 80 teams that had initially registered. The talented teams presented their innovative ideas to a panel of industry experts serving as jury members. The winner of the tournament was Heamac Healthcare from IIIT Hyderabad, with FeetWings from Netaji Subhash University of Technology, New Delhi, as the runner-up. Bluewingler from Vishnu Institute of Technology, Bimavaram, won the elevator pitch award. These teams will go down in history as they competed against various engineering and management institutions across the country.







Heamac Healthcare's intelligent phototherapy system for neonatal jaundice won them the prestigious first-place prize. The runner-up, FeetWings, impressed the judges with their IoT-based early warning and management tool, using smart socks. Another standout idea came from Hookeseven, who presented an anti-suicidal fan hook.


Rashida Adenwala, President of TiE, said that TiE Grad is an extension of the TiE University Challenge, which runs in over 10 countries and 40+ locations worldwide. The winning team, Heamac Healthcare, will represent TiE Hyderabad and the state of Telangana in the Global Finals in Silicon Valley, taking place in May-June. TiE Hyderabad is proud to provide a platform for talented individuals to showcase their innovative ideas and compete at an international level.
