Pushkar Sharma is all set to make his second appearance in the Nairobi Premiere League, starting from 15th September.
The six teams represent Kenya’s cities/towns and wildlife, namely, Nairobi Hornbills, Eldoret Hawks, Nakuru Flamingoes, Mombasa Eagles, Machakos Vultures and Kisumu Cranes
Six teams are participating in the league and Indian born, Pushkar Sharma is going to represent the Eldoret Hawks. Eldoret Hawks are likely to face Mombasa Eagles in the 3rd match of the tournament. The game will be played on 16th September 2021 and is likely to be scheduled from 9:00 am (Nairobi time).
Pushkar, who has been in brilliant form for the last few months is definitely going to play a vital role in the team. He scored an unbridled 167 very recently for Raurka Sports club. Pushkar is also the highest run-getter of Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association with 442 runs from 7 innings so far. He averaged 73.67 with a strike rate of 103.27.

Zimbabwean international cricketer, Christopher Mpofu is going to play a big part in the tournament as the tall lanky veteran will be seen lead Nairobi Hornbills against Kisumu Cranes in the inaugural edition of the Nairobi Cricket League (N.C.L). The match will be played at Ruaraka Sports Club on Wednesday morning.
Mpofu who is visiting the country for the third time was heard slating,
"I will make the best use of the experience gained in the national team for 16 years." He further said that he is here not just to lift the trophy but also to enjoy the game.
Apart from him, star Zimbabwean cricketers such as Tinotenda Mawoyo, Christopher Mpofu, Neville Madziva, Elton Chigumbura, Shingirai Masakadza, Forster Mutizwa and John Nyumbu will be a part of it.
The six teams will be mentored by well renowned Sri Lankans such as Gihan Rupasinghe, Udara Jayasundera, Chamara Kapugedera, Ajantha Mendis, Lahiru Gamage and Vikum Sanjaya.
Ex-Kenya internationals attached to the teams, captaining the various Franchises including Steve Tikolo, Thomas Odoyo, Jimmy Kamande, Martin Suji, Joseph Angara and Kennedy Obuya.
