SIP Prodigy 24 held, 2100 kids of 6 to 12 years of age from across Telangana competed



On a vibrant Sunday at Classic Convention Three, Shamshabad, the stage was set for the SIP Regional Prodigy 2024 Telangana Contest, a celebration of young talent in mathematics. This unique event saw 2100 students aged 6 to 12 from 60 centers across Telangana compete fiercely yet joyfully.

Organized by SIP Academy, India’s premier Skill Development organization, the contest highlighted their extensive reach across 23 states with 900 centers nationwide. With a rich legacy spanning 21 years and having trained over 10 lakh children, SIP Academy also boasts a global footprint in 12 countries.


Distinguished guests including Sibi Sekhar, Director of SIP Academy India Pvt; Mrs Nivedita Thota, MD of Shiva Ganga Group of Schools; Paanchali Dasgupta-Sahu, Principal at Birla Open Minds International School, LB Nagar; and Sainath M, Executive Director at ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, graced the occasion. Ms. Nivedita Thota, addressing the young participants, emphasized the pivotal role of mathematics in shaping future technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing.


"I see human computers working here," Ms. Thota remarked, underscoring the contest's focus on developing mathematical acumen among the young participants. The event not only encouraged mathematical prowess but also instilled confidence and a competitive spirit in the participants, aligned with the National Education Policy’s stress on stress-free learning environments.

The contest, conceptualized to nurture prodigious talent, featured unique rounds including a Visualization Round where participants mentally calculated without aids and a Concentration Round amidst blaring music—a testament to SIP Academy’s innovative approach to education.


Sibi Sekhar articulated SIP Academy’s ambitious expansion plans, aiming to increase their centers to 1500 in the coming years, highlighting their commitment to fostering intellectual growth and resilience in children through structured skill development programs.


In a spectacle where young calculators outpaced machines, the SIP Regional Prodigy 2024 Telangana Contest showcased mathematical prowess and celebrated the joy of learning and competing. SIP Academy’s pioneering efforts in unleashing young prodigies were evident, reaffirming their position as leaders in mental development programs, duly recognized by multiple entries in the Limca Book of Records.


As the curtains fell on this exhilarating event, it was clear that SIP Academy’s legacy of shaping young minds for a competitive future continues to resonate across Telangana and beyond.
