International Author Mukul Phate Raises Alarm Over Illegal Immigrants in Maharashtra, Citing National Security Threats After Pahalgam Terror Attack

Renowned international author and Bharat Vibhushan awardee Mukul Phate has expressed serious concerns over the growing threat of illegal immigrants residing in Maharashtra, especially in the wake of the recent Pahalgam terror attack. Citing rising national security risks, Phate called for immediate government action to prevent potential dangers from sleeper cells operating within the country.

Speaking passionately on the matter, Mukul Phate said,
“Since I was 8 years old, I have been listening to MNS Party Chief Raj Thackeray raising strong questions to the government about the issue of Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals staying illegally in India without visas. He warned that if a war were to break out tomorrow, these illegal immigrants could act as sleeper cells and pose a serious threat from within the country.
Who would take responsibility for such a disaster? Despite his repeated warnings, no concrete action has been taken till now. And now, there’s breaking news that 5,223 Pakistanis are currently living in Maharashtra, out of which only 51 have valid visas and passports.”
Mukul’s statement comes at a crucial time, following the shocking terror attack in Pahalgam, which has reignited nationwide concerns about internal security and the role of illegal residents in aiding such incidents. Security analysts have long warned that sleeper cells embedded within communities could be activated to cause devastating damage during crises.
