Working with children with special needs has been a profoundly fulfilling journey for me, one that stems from my personal experiences as a mother to an autistic child. My son became my greatest inspiration, encouraging me to read, research, and understand the unique challenges faced by children like him. This path of continuous learning gave me a newfound purpose—helping other children with special needs and supporting them in achieving their milestones.

Over the years, my journey has taken me through various schools, each experience enriching my perspective as a teacher and mentor. Currently, I am honoured to be part of The Blessed One's school, where I continue to work closely with children and their families. My focus is not just on helping children settle in a classroom setting but also on empowering them with life skills that foster confidence and independence.
I firmly believe that learning is an ongoing process, and I remain committed to deepening my understanding of each child’s needs. Every step I take strengthens my ability to support these children, guiding them towards reducing their dependency and unlocking their full potential.
Receiving the Healing Light Award for my contributions as a remedial coach and my efforts in supporting children with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) is an incredibly humbling and unexpected honour.
This recognition fuels my determination to continue my work and expand my knowledge, striving towards a more inclusive society—one where every child is accepted, celebrated, and allowed to thrive.
This award is not just a milestone in my career but a reminder that every effort towards inclusion makes a difference. I am grateful to be part of this journey, and I look forward to many more opportunities to contribute to the growth and success of children with special needs.
