I don’t just play characters but try to live by it,” shares Gracy Singh

Having carved a niche for herself in both Bollywood and television for notable roles - Be it the bholibhaali Gauri who knew how to fight for what is hers to the sweet and lovable Dr Suman, and now the divine Santoshi Maa, Gracy Singh, has aced the art of perfectionism both on-screen as well as off-screen.

A trained Bharatnatyam and Odissi dancer, Gracy likes to live a disciplined life with regular dance practices, timely meals, regular sessions at Brahma Kumaris along with her shoot for &TV’s Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein. She believes that to achieve a healthy body, one must have a healthy mind. To ensure calmness and composure, the actor practices meditation and also follows yoga as a fitness regime.

Gracy Singh shares, “Acting and dance are two things that are very close to my heart, but I also believe in maintaining a proper work-life balance to ensure that neither my professional nor my personal life interferes with the other. I have a tight shoot schedule on most of the days hence I try to utilise my off days to the maximum.” She further adds, “When I am given the responsibility of a certain character, I don’t just play it but try to live by it. After I was chosen for the &TV show Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein I started doing my research on Santoshi Maa and the different stories written on the Goddess of Satisfaction. Right from the costume, to the ornaments, I have tried to add a personal touch to the character wherever possible to make it look more authentic and real, and the appreciation from the audience makes me want to invest more in my role.”

Watch Gracy Singh as Santoshi Maa in Santoshi Maa Sunaye Vrat Kathayein, every Monday to Friday, 9:00 pm only on &TV!
