The Mulshi Taluka School Chess Tournament was successfully organized by the District Sports Officer's Office, Pune, in collaboration with the Mulshi Taluka Sports Teachers Association and Heritage International School, Kasar Amboli, Mulshi Taluka, Pune. The tournament was held with great enthusiasm at Heritage International School. A total of 207 players participated, including 137 boys and 70 girls from 21 schools.
The tournament was inaugurated by Mr Kunal Bhilare, Founder and Director of Heritage International School, in the presence of Administrative Manager Mrs Yashaswini Bhilare, Principal Mrs Renu Patil of Heritage School, President of the Mulshi Taluka Sports Teachers Association Mr Sunil Satav, Vice President Mr. Santosh Banker, Secretary Mr. Sandeep Pawar, and National Referee Mr Pawan Katakde.
During his speech as the chief guest, Mr Kunal Bhilare emphasized that if players from rural areas receive proper facilities, they will undoubtedly shine at the international level, and for this, a sports culture must be nurtured.
The tournament was organized by the Principal of Heritage International School, Mrs Renu Patil, Mr Sandeep Pawar, Supervisor of Sainik School, Mr Karan Gholap, and the teachers and non-teaching staff of Heritage School.
The following players were selected for the district-level tournament:
1. Girls Under 14: Sanvi Kapoor, Zoya Zarina, Rajnandini Mangrule, Samruddhi Maktedar, Navya Supeda
2. Girls Under 17: Sanvi Salunke, Anvesha Naik, Surbhi Dukhande, Anushka Deshmukh, Kartiki Alhat
3. Girls Under 19: Siddhi Kalamkar, Manali Jadhav, Gauri Aher, Shrutika Bhosle, Sayali Galve
4. Boys Under 14: Abhijay Valwekar, Soham Raut, Aniruddha Wadangekar, Sarthak Inamdar, Adwik Verma
5. Boys Under 17: Archit Deshpande, Ishan Jandu, Shiv Vyas, Saurik Khalkar, Shaurya Gore
6. Boys Under 19: Arjun Athalye, Aarav Shah, Param Kakkad, Archisman Wadangekar, Agniva Ghoshal
The event was introduced by Mr. Sandeep Pawar, with a vote of thanks given by Principal Mrs. Renu Patil. The program was hosted by Mrs. Sushma Patil. School management members, Founder President Mr. Krishna Bhilare, and Secretary Mrs. Sangeeta Bhilare extended their best wishes to all the participating students.
This tournament proved to be an excellent showcase of the student's skills, and Heritage International School has provided a strong platform for the students in the sports field in the taluka.
