Heritage International School, located in Kasar Amboli village, Mulshi, celebrated Independence Day with remarkable enthusiasm and a deep sense of patriotism. The celebrations began at 7:30 am with a dawn rally, where students and staff raised patriotic slogans, setting the tone for the day's events.
The national flag was proudly hoisted by the Founder-President of the school, Mr. Krishna Bhilare, who served as the Chief Guest. The event also saw the esteemed presence of Mrs. Sangeeta Bhilare, Secretary; Mr. Kunal Bhilare, Director; Mrs. Yashaswini Bhilare, Administrator; and Mr. Ganesh Bhilare, a respected social worker.
In a tribute to the nation's freedom fighters, the school organized a series of competitions, with special focus on the speech and dance competitions that highlighted the contributions of revolutionary leaders. A key highlight was a dramatization of the life of Rani Lakshmibai, showcasing her pivotal role in the Indian freedom struggle, alongside a powerful play depicting the Quit India Movement.
The celebration reached its zenith with a felicitation ceremony, where the Chief Guests, including former Sarpanch Umeshdada Sutar, Tantamukti President Shantaram Girigosavi, social worker Swapnil Kamble, and Principal Dr. Renu Patil, honored students who delivered inspiring speeches on the significance of Independence Day and the heroic sacrifices of freedom fighters. The performances and speeches were met with great appreciation.
The students of Standard 10 displayed commendable leadership by anchoring the event. During the Investiture Ceremony, the newly appointed Student Council was honored with sashes and badges, symbolizing their roles in the upcoming academic year.
The day concluded on a high note with the distribution of sweets to all participants, and the atmosphere was charged with patriotic fervor as everyone joined in for the closing slogans.
