Heritage International School celebrated National Youth Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, with great zeal and fervour. This annual celebration highlights the teachings and ideals of Swami Vivekananda, a revered spiritual leader and reformer, to inspire and guide the youth toward becoming responsible citizens of India.
The event emphasized the importance of Swamiji’s philosophies, principles, and contributions across various fields, particularly spirituality, to motivate students to contribute positively to the country’s development. Recognizing the significance of this occasion, the Indian government designated Swami Vivekananda's birthday as National Youth Day to inspire young minds.
The High School section of Heritage International School actively participated by delivering engaging PowerPoint presentations on the significance of National Youth Day. These presentations not only enriched the students’ understanding of Swamiji’s legacy but also fostered awareness about citizens' rights and responsibilities in India.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Renu Patil highlighted the relevance of Swamiji’s teachings in today’s world. She urged students to embrace the positive aspects of Western advancements while preserving the essence of Indian culture. Dr Patil also encouraged students to read Swami Vivekananda’s books, emphasizing their potential to instil knowledge, motivation, and inspiration to achieve life goals.
The school’s management and Principal inspired the students by reminding them of Swamiji’s unwavering faith in the youth as catalysts for long-lasting, positive change. They encouraged the students to dream big, work diligently, and turn their aspirations into meaningful achievements that leave a lasting impact on society.
