Kasar Amboli, 29 July 2024 - Heritage International School celebrated International Tigers Day with great enthusiasm and excitement, aiming to educate students about the importance of tiger conservation and the need to protect these majestic creatures and their habitats. The event, part of the school's ongoing collaboration with Kids for Tigers - Sanctuary Asia since 2019, emphasized the message: "Save Tigers...Save Forests...Save Environment."
This year's theme, "Call for Action," inspired a series of engaging activities under the mission "Join Hands to Save The Stripes," involving students from primary to secondary classes. The day's events included:
Assembly Program: The celebration began with an assembly where students shared information about the significance of International Tigers Day.
Palm Painting: Students from grades 1 and 2 enthusiastically participated in a palm painting activity, expressing their creativity and love for tigers.
Tiger Mask Making: A mask-making competition for grades 3 to 5 allowed students to showcase their artistic skills by creating tiger face masks.
Informative Posters on Tiger Conservation: Students from grades 6 to 10 designed informative posters advocating for tiger conservation and environmental protection.
Tiger-themed Face Painting: A face painting competition for grades 8 to 10 saw students artistically depict tiger faces, demonstrating their painting talents.
The event was a resounding success, with active participation from students, teachers, and staff. It effectively raised awareness about the critical importance of tiger conservation and inspired students to take action to protect these magnificent creatures. The celebration aligned with the key goals of International Tigers Day, including promoting tiger conservation, increasing awareness about their ecological significance, and supporting efforts against poaching and habitat destruction.
Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Renu Patil, the school's Eco Club members and teachers on duty successfully conducted the day's activities. The school management, including Founder President Mr. Krishna Bhilare, Secretary Mrs. Sangeeta Bhilare, Admin Manager Mr. Kunal Bhilare, and Mrs. Yashaswini Bhilare, appreciated the students for showcasing their talents and creativity.
