Hemali Joshi :"Embracing Challenges and Pursuing Passion of Teaching

I started my journey of teaching with nursery rhymes, teaching my younger brother and other younger kids in my family when I was just 10 years old. As I grew in my academics, my passion for teaching grew too, and I started teaching pre-primary and primary students at home during my first year of Degree College.

After completing my graduation, I got the opportunity to teach at an English Medium school in my hometown, which had a completely different syllabus than what I used to teach earlier. I took this as a challenge and upgraded myself for this.

Despite facing challenges and negative feedback from my mentor teacher in my teaching approach, I did not let go of my passion for teaching. I continued teaching as a Home Tutor and eventually started my own coaching class, which went quite well for three years.

However, the Covid19 pandemic hit and forced me to close down my coaching class. But this did not stop me, and I continued teaching my students online, worrying about their academics, especially those about to give their board exams.

I then got the opportunity to work with a prestigious organization, Heritage International School, where I can teach my favorite subject, Maths, to my favorite grades. My goal now is to help my students grow not only in academics but also in overall development, socially, emotionally, physically, and mentally.

Teaching is not just a job for me; it's a work of heart.
