How and Why He Got Started in This Line of Work
It was the year 2014 when Gaurav found himself in a foreign land, far from home. As he exited the airport and took a taxi to his hotel, he noticed something peculiar: an unusual tranquility, a stark contrast to the incessant honking synonymous with urban life. This moment of silence amidst the unfamiliar streets left a profound impression on him.
The significance of this observation took time to sink in. During that quiet taxi ride, Gaurav contemplated the essence of tranquility and peace amidst chaos. This revelation reminded him that serenity and reflection could exist even in our bustling daily lives. Although this observation seemed mundane at first, its true meaning became evident only upon his return home.
The Biggest Challenges in This Role
Gaurav was part of the urban ecosystem, initially blind to the cacophony surrounding him. Upon his return, he saw the reality of the situation, which shook him to his core. In many Asian countries, unnecessary honking is a pervasive issue stemming from traffic congestion, aggressive driving, and a lack of awareness about the consequences of excessive noise.
In densely populated urban areas, traffic congestion is a daily challenge, and some people believe honking can alleviate it or prompt others to move faster. This has led to a culture where honking is used unnecessarily. Gaurav scrutinized the honking masses around him, delving deep into their habits and behaviors. He spent countless hours dissecting this issue, brainstorming solutions, and tirelessly working through prototypes.
Mr Gaurav discovered that excessive honking wasn't just about loud sounds disrupting peace; it was a symptom of deeper societal issues, reflecting our impatience and disregard for others. Addressing this problem required more than good intentions; it demanded understanding the root causes and human behavior, recognizing that excessive noise is not only annoying but also hazardous to our health.
