The Hyderabad Runners Society successfully organized the third edition of the Gaudium Stadium Run, a distinctive 24-hour running event, held from 25th November at 6 pm to 26th November at 6 pm. Stadium Runs, specifically designed for seasoned runners and fitness enthusiasts, offer a dedicated track for professionals aiming to enhance their mileage and timing.
The event showcased an additional dimension with Team Relays tailored for Corporates and Running Groups, incorporating it into their training and fitness regimes to motivate and inspire their runners.
With the objective of fostering team spirit and gender inclusivity in running as a preferred fitness activity, the run featured nine race categories. Notable among these were the 12-Hour Team Relay - Night Run, 12-Hour Team Relay - Day Run, Solo Run Categories, 24 Hours Solo Ultra, 12 Hours Solo Ultra, 6 Hours Ultra, and 12 Hours Team Relay.
Drawing participation from over 600 runners across the twin cities and various outstation locations, the event witnessed 85 teams, each consisting of 6 runners, engaging in relay sequences for 2 hours each. Teams were required to have a mandatory mix of male and female participants to qualify.
The Gaudium Stadium Run 2023 aimed to crown a Champion Ultra Runner, attracting participants with exceptional endurance. The total prize money for the third edition amounted to Rs. 3,00,400/-
The races were officially flagged off on 25th November, Saturday, at 6 pm by K. Kirthi Reddy, Founder Director of Gaudium, along with CEO Gaudium Ramakrishna Reddy, and Hyderabad Runners President Mr. Abhijeet Madnurkar. Arun Kumar K, Secretary, and Raghu Peetambaran, Treasurer of the Hyderabad Runners Society, were also present to commence the races and encourage participants to excel as a team.
The Gaudium management and Hyderabad Runners Society felicitated the winning relay teams and solo runners, marking the successful conclusion of this unique and challenging 24-hour event.
