Freemasons of Telangana Extend Heartfelt Support to Families in Need

In a touching display of compassion and solidarity, the Freemasons of Telangana recently came together to offer crucial assistance to the family of Bokka Padma and Narasimha Reddy, whose two sons have been battling incurable Muscular Dystrophy for years.

During a late-night function on Sunday, the Freemasons presented a heartfelt cheque of Rs 50,000 to the family, accompanied by a promise of ongoing monthly financial and material support. Assistant Regional Grandmasters Proddaturu Veerabhadrudu, Dr. Srirang Abkari, Anil Desai, and Ramesh Manchala, who graced the Mother's Day Celebrations, reassured the family of their unwavering support. This generous gesture underscores the Freemasons' commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those facing adversity.

The Freemasons, known for their global presence and dedication to building morale, emphasized the importance of community support in times of need. Reflecting on their mission, Proddaturu Veerabhadrudu remarked, "Freemasonry makes good men better." The initiative to support the Bokka family stemmed from a comprehensive assessment of their situation and needs, culminating in a collective effort to raise funds from Freemasons, their networks, and philanthropic individuals. The presentation of the cheque to Mrs. Bokka Padma, a resilient mother tirelessly caring for her sons despite the challenges, was a moment of profound recognition and appreciation.

Both Bokka Teja Vardhan and Bokka Mani Vardhan, the sons battling Muscular Dystrophy, face significant physical limitations and require round-the-clock care. With Mr. Narasimha Reddy, a driver, having lost his job and Mrs. Padma's income insufficient to meet the family's needs, the support from the Freemasons comes as a lifeline during their trying times. The Freemasons' commitment extends beyond financial assistance, as they honor remarkable mothers like Padma and others, recognizing their resilience and dedication.

The occasion also marked the celebration of Mother's Day across South India, with the Freemasons organizing a series of events to honor mothers and promote the spirit of caregiving and compassion. As Freemasonry embraces values akin to the nurturing role of a mother, the occasion served as a poignant reminder of the organization's commitment to making good men better and fostering universal brotherhood. Through gestures of kindness, support, and celebration, the Freemasons of Telangana exemplify the transformative power of community and compassion in uplifting lives and spreading hope.
