During her opening speech, Priya Gazdar highlighted the entrepreneurial story of Guccio Gucci, who started as a humble lift boy at Hotel Savoy and went on to become the renowned founder of Gucci after three decades of relentless effort. She discussed luxury as a worldwide trend that caters to specific desires rather than necessities, underscoring its influence in setting trends rather than merely adhering to them.
