To enhance students' creativity, teach traditional values, and sensitize them towards the environment, Heritage International School, KasarAmboli conducted an “Eco-Friendly Ganesha” activity on 6 September 2024.
A creative workshop for making Eco-Friendly Ganesha from Shadu Mati was conducted for students of Std 1-8 under the guidance of artists Mr Avinash Ranmale and Mr Ganesh Jagtap
Preprimary students made Ganesha idols using colourful playdough. Primary students put their innovation and creativity to best use by using clay/dough to create a replica of the divine lord. This also inculcated in them the habit of being resourceful. The positivity of seeking blessings by prayer was felt across all the grades.
It was a blissful and fun-filled activity. It also reflected the devotional feelings of students and their parents. They all were excited to keep their handmade idols for puja on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi.
The festival in India plays a key role in strengthening human relationships and enhances to bring about unity among people. HIS always takes an opportunity to encourage different age groups by organizing various activities. This was a small step to protect the environment. The Principal, Mrs. Renu Patil, appreciated one and all.
She explained to the students the importance of natural resources and how to use eco-friendly idols to celebrate the festival. The important message given by the Principal was that henceforth, let us all bring eco-friendly Ganesh idols and conserve nature by going green every Ganesh Chaturthi.
The school management members Mr Krishna Bhilare (Founder President), Mrs Sangeeta Bhilare (Secretary), Mr Kunal Bhilare (Director), and Mrs Yashaswini Bhilare (Admin manager) conveyed their best wishes and appreciated the student's skills.
